If I had never picked up and read a book by V.A. Dold I would still have fallen in love with the Le Beau series after reading Lucas! And now to have tied the Le Beau Series to the K.I.S.S. Series by Tori Austin with this same novel! There is no way they are going to be able to write fast enough to keep me in the books that I want from these two series!Lucas by V.A. Dold and Tori Austin really melted my butter as I could read and imagine my home state of Texas in almost every word.
Lucas, Kensi, JoJo and the other characters are written with the meat and potatoes that a Texas woman can really sink her teeth into. Add the mystery of Kensi’s life to the mix as gravy and this is a novel that won’t be put down until the entire meal gets eaten!
Lucas has added another steamy element to the family tree of the Le Beau Series by V.A. Dold and now has me salivating for what Tori Austin will offer up in the next book of her K.I.S.S. Series! That’s the way to write a cross-over book! You’ve gotten me hooked on both series.
I highly recommend you read Lucas by V.A. Dold and Tori Austin. Lucas is a sizzling page turner that cries for more than a five cup of Room With Books scorching hot coffee review so I shall render it fit for ten cups, offering five cups of Room With Books steaming hot Texas-style brew to each series!

Nope.....not for me. To me, it is a contradiction to have a group (shifter or not) in a story who know they have soul mates, true mates, their other half out there and allow them to be man-whores (M-W) as well as not want their mate because they are to busy f-ing all other females. I also hate when male MC compares female MC to past M-W ways and experiences. I bought the book and read, therefore I am giving my opinion of what I like. I try to read reviews to figure out if a book will have that component or not. It is hard to tell sometimes. If I know ahead of time, I will not buy it. I wish I had not bought this one.
Lucas, A fun, fast paced FIVE STAR read!

The first guests to the Dude Ranch are Kensie Brown who is visiting her sister Jojo. Is this visit just a matter of luck or is Krystal’s matchmaking to blame? Will Kensie Brown, a surgeon and workaholic, truly be able to relax and stay away from work for a week? Can she fight the incredible feeling that she has for Lucas, a man she has just met? Or does she want to? What is her secret gift? What is it that her coworker is trying to expose?
Again, the incredible talent of Tori Austin takes us away into the fast paced life of a Le Beau brother. This time it is Lucas Le Beau in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas on his Rocking Double L Ranch. Ms. Austin writes the best book boyfriends ever with all the sexy bits that keep you reading late into the night. All of the Le Beau brothers are on my list with Lucas on the top…for now. I can’t wait for the next book in this captivating series.
This is the 5th book in this series and they should be read in order. Lucas and his cousin Krystal move to Texas to open a ranch. Krystal is hiding a secret and it’s about her shifter gift. Her gift is going to come in handy helping Lucas and his mate. Krystal runs into Kensie and her sister Jojo while grocery shopping and knows right away that Kensie is Lucas’s mate. The only problem is Kensie is only in town for a few days to visit her sister. Krystal invites Jojo to dinner with a plan. Jojo agrees to her plan when she comes for dinner now they just have to put it into motion. Lucas and Kensie literally run into each when they meet. Lucas can’t believe his luck at finding his mate on his ranch and she is staying for a week. Now he just has to get her to fall for him. This could be harder than Lucas thought. Kensie is a workaholic doctor. She can’t seem to stop working even while on vacation with her sister. It is going to take all of them to get Lucas and his mate together. This book was funny, romantic, and so much more. With each book, I read in this series I get sucked in further. V.A. Dold is a fantastic author and I recommend all her books. This book also starts another series by V.A.Dold. After reading this one I can’t wait to read the next one in both of these series. I can’t say enough about this book/series.
I really loved Lucas book. I think i liked him better than the other Le beau men don't get me wrong though Simon is still my favorite lol. What i liked about this book is that I felt it was slightly different than the others in the sense that once Lucas revealed himself to Kensie she didn't fully believe him. It was actually hilarious because she needed more convincing and went as far as to think that Lucas was crazy which I found really funny. In previous books the women were quick to accept that the men were shifters but Kensie needed convincing.Kensie herself had a secret and I liked that she was secretive about it because she was scared that it might change Lucas mind about her.Her background story gave an understanding of why she was the way she was. I loved Kensie she was strong and very protective when it came to the people she cared for especially her sister JoJo whom she raised after her parents died when she was 18 and JoJo was 8. Kensie was different from the other Le beau ladies too. She was independent and strong. Lucas didn't hover over her like the other men do in the other books even when it pained him not to hover. He wasn't persistent he gave her space and time to process things which made me fall for him even more. They are perfect for each other. The only thing I didn't like about the book is that we didn't get cameos from mama Le beau or any of the other characters from the previous books they were only mentioned. I would have like to see a scene where the family gets to meet Kensie but I guess I will just have to wait and see maybe ms.dold will release a novella about it.
