I tried to read this with my son in mind, as, if we homeschool next year, for history we’ll be studying Rome. I think it would drive most pre-teens potty with it’s old-fashioned language. However, it was an easy and quick read, and brought to life many details about Roman life and customs.Product details

My second grader loved this as a read aloud. It was a perfect addition to our homeschool curriculum, and she begged for it daily until we finished. I am looking forward to using the author's other books as well.
